Sarah G. Spitzer
Sarah G. Spitzer is a law clerk of Shulman Bastian Friedman & Bui LLP, working in its bankruptcy and litigation departments. Ms. Spitzer graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a Bachelor of Arts in legal studies in 2016. Ms. Spitzer received Dean’s Honors in both Fall 2015 and Spring 2016. Before attending law school, Ms. Spitzer clerked at the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, in the Major Crimes Division, for two years, where she assisted with several high-profile death penalty-eligible cases. During her time there, Ms. Spitzer also volunteered for Project LEAD, a program teaching fifth graders about the criminal justice system.
Ms. Spitzer attended California Western School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor in 2021. During law school, Ms. Spitzer was a California Western School of Law Admissions Scholarship Recipient and a member of the Women’s Law Caucus. Ms. Spitzer began her clerkship with the firm in May 2019. During law school, Ms. Spitzer began to focus her studies on both bankruptcy and intellectual property – taking classes in bankruptcy, secured transactions, and trademark law.
Ms. Spitzer is currently a member of the Orange County Women Lawyers Association.
Ms. Spitzer enjoys skiing, wakeboarding, scuba diving, dirt bike riding, and hiking with her Australian Shepherd. Ms. Spitzer enjoys spending time with family and traveling as much as possible.
